Visit a working cinnamon plantation to see the fascinating process of manufacturing the sweet rolls of bark that flavor island life and fill the world’s spice cupboards. Harvested from the branches of a small perennial tree, watch the complex process of scraping the outer bark, peeling the treasured inner bark and drying the resulting quills – as long as your arm – on coir ropes, before taking some home with you.
